A.H.A. Illustrates a Perpetual Shade of Green

by Martin Arguello

When you think of green, what is the first thing that comes to mind? The color itself? Money? Nature? Quite close! At Arguello Law Firm, we are proud to be a green firm! What does this mean? It means that the phrase ‘Go Green’ is our goal and being environmentally friendly is a priority at our firm. For instance, we are as paperless as possible, and we use low-energy consumption computers. Each of our offices is assigned as few printers as possible to reduce the use of paper and to avoid power “leeching” from idle printers. Why, just recently, one of our attorneys told her team members that she would take away their pens and paper if she saw them taking hand-written notes instead of typing them directly into our computer system. Another example of how we are a green firm is the use of motion sensor light switches. When an individual enters and exits the office, the sensor can detect a human presence and will automatically turn on/off. This way, the light will shut off when it is not being used for a timed period. Since the switches operate on motion, this serves a double purpose: it eliminates unnecessary power consumption, and it encourages our employees to remain active (so as not to be left in the dark)! We are always open to creative suggestions on how to stay conservative with our natural resources. In the end, it is that easy being green. Go-Green_logo-md
