Icy Roads Lead to Texas 18 Wheeler Crash

Icy conditions led to a Texas 18 wheeler crash near the West Texas town of Seagraves. The accident occurred on State Highway 62 in the morning hours of New Year’s Eve. The Texas 18 wheeler crash happened when a truck in the southbound lanes jackknifed and skidded onto the west side of the highway. Police reported that no one was injured in the accident, but several other wrecks occurred in the same area over a five-day period.

Texas 18 Wheeler Crash Among Several Accidents

Two other accidents occurred in the same vicinity as the Texas 18 wheeler crash. Also on New Year’s Eve, the driver of a Nissan Sentra went off the icy road and slid 100 feet into a cotton field just a few miles north of the Texas 18 wheeler crash. Two days later, a silver SUV struck a snow-covered median and overturned. State troopers reported that both drivers escaped injury and that they were both wearing seat belts.
